3/26/2018 0 Comments Weekly Update...3/26/18Good morning families,
I hope that all is well. This week we will not have homework due to students preparing for student led conferences. However, I have explained to students that they should still read for at least 20 minutes each night. Your children are excited to share their learning with you! Your child will have 20 minutes to share their writing, math, and music work. Due to time constraints please allow your child to share all their work before asking questions. Our learning targets this week include the following: Learning Targets: - I can prepare for my student led conference. - I can add and subtract within 1000. - I can solve word problems within 1000. - I can identify GA historical figures and their contribution to our state and the world at large. I hope that you all have a wonderful week and restful Spring Break next week. Thank you, Mrs. Burns

3/19/2018 0 Comments Weekly Update...3/19/18Good morning families,
I enjoyed hearing about your weekends this morning during our y'all know what about the weekend during crew meeting. I heard all about the sleepovers, sneaking candy from parents, and touching chicken organs :) This week well spend some time preparing for our student-led conferences next week. If you haven't already please make sure you sign-up for your child's conference via the link provided in last week's post. Due to being ill and absent last week and not being able to do any in class word study work with students last week, they will have the same words list this week to study, but different activities via a spelling menu. Students must complete a different activity of their choice each night (totaling 4 activities by Friday) and make sure to include their work within their homework folders. Learning Targets: ELA: I can use apostrophes to form contractions. I can craft an opinion piece of writing. Math: I can solve addition and subtraction problems within 1,000. Social Studies: I can identify historical figures and their contributions to our state and the world-at-large (Jimmy Carter). Extra: I can prepare for my student-led conference.
